Each Friday, participating students receive backpacks packed with nutritious meals and snacks, ensuring they have reliable access to healthy food during times when school meals are not available. This program aims to reduce food insecurity and ensure that children can thrive, both academically and physically, by providing consistent nourishment during the school year’s breaks.

Saving Our Kidz Resource Center was born in 2010, when a group of dedicated community members recognized a pressing need for comprehensive support services in Lincoln and Sheridan, California. The center began as a small initiative with a big vision: to bridge the gap between families struggling with basic needs and the resources that could help them overcome adversity. From the very beginning, our mission has been to empower families, especially children, by providing essential services such as food, housing assistance, mental health support, and educational resources.
